Our story
From a single practice to two offices serving Barry, Cardiff and the Vale.
1920s
David Llewellyn Jones establishes the practice from which the firm grew.
1950s
Mr Cyril Passmore forms D.C. Passmore & Co in St Mary’s Street, Cardiff.
Late 1950s
Becomes Passmore Walters & Hopkins, trading from 132 Holton Road, Barry.
1978
The Barry and Cardiff offices divide by agreement; Barry continues as D.C. Passmore & Co.
1987
Moves to current premises at 21 Tynewydd Road, Barry, opening Monday 10 August 1987.
1997
Merges with L.W. Lewis & Jacobs Solicitors to become Passmores Solicitors.
2019
Becomes a limited company in August.
2020
Celebrates 100 years of serving the people and businesses of South Wales.

A practising solicitor for over 30 years, qualifying in 1985. Catherine specialises in international matters involving children, including cross-border disputes and parental child abduction.

An expert in the financial issues that arise upon separation or divorce, particularly high net value cases. Sally joined the firm in 1996 and is a director.
Director · Wills, Probate & Elderly Clients
Wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection work. A fluent Welsh speaker, member of Solicitors for the Elderly and full member of STEP.
Director · Residential & Commercial Property
Qualified in 2004 and specialising in residential and commercial property. Claire joined in January 2016 and became a director in 2021.
